Toes in the Sand
Ahhhh, a place to escape, to let your hair down and let go,
where the sand feels so warm and the pleasant breezes blow.
A spiritual holiday to rest and rewind,
you almost forget where you are, as you daydream in your mind.
You hear children's laughter and the waves as they break,
with your toes in the sand and a smile on your face.
Sandcastles being carefully formed,
as well as seashells and sand pails strewn all around.
Sun kissed bodies from here to there, line the beach with their colorful umbrellas and chairs.
Not a care in the world as you soak up the Sun,
with your toes in the sand appreciating all the fun.
Beach balls and frisbees fly through the air,
the beach is alive with excitement everywhere.
Time seems to slow down when you're one with the shore,
You want to stay forever and capture even more.
Yet, you must go heavy hearted bidding farewell to the coast,
only to plan your next trip back here to treasure the place you love most.
